We, Locafy Market, a Limited Liability company duly incorporated in the Arab Republic of Egypt, with commercial registration number 110700700050447, headquartered at Cairo- Egypt. And our affiliated companies (“we”, “us”, “our”), respect the privacy of all our users and are committed to protecting the Personal Data collected through the website Locafy.market and our affiliated companies’ websites and associated mobile applications.
This policy (“Privacy Policy”) indicates the basis on which we collect and use any of your Personal Data, whether collected directly from the you (the user) or through other sources in connection to your access and use of the Platform or any services provided by us including advertising messages and any social media functions on the Platform (together, the “services”). We understand the importance of your Personal Data and are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices in connection to your Personal Data. By using the Platform or any of its services, you agree to the collection and handling of your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. For its purposes, “Personal Data” means and includes the categories of data set forth in Clause 1 of the Privacy Policy.
References to "user" or "you" (or similar) are references to you as an individual or legal entity, as a user or consumer, as applicable.

- Personal data we collect from/about you
- We collect your data to continuously provide and improve the platform and services. Personal data refers to any information which can identify you as an individual based on identifiers. Personal data does not include anonymous data i.e., data sets from which individual identifiers have been removed. We collect, use, store and transfer several types of Personal Data about you, which are categorized as follows:
- Identity data such as your first name, middle name, last name, username or similar identifiers, gender, title, nationality, and date of birth.
- Contact data including your address, email address, and phone number.
- Transaction data including information about amounts paid to and from you, including but not limited to your payment methods, as well as details of the products and services you have purchased through the platform.
- Technical data includes your IP address, login data, browser type and version, operating system, mobile application version, time zone settings, location, device type, and advertiser identifiers.
- Profile Data includes your username and password, your interests, preferences, comments, preferred language, and survey responses.
- Purchase Data includes all previous orders and purchases you have made from the same user account, refund information, completion information, and page view information from service providers that enable branding, completion, and other transactions on the Platform.
- In addition, we collect, use, and share statistical or demographic information ("Aggregate Data"). Aggregated Data is data extracted from your Personal Data, but modified to remove identifiers and does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may collect aggregated Personal Data from your browser to determine the percentage of users accessing a specific feature on the website.
- Methods of collecting Personal Data
We use the following methods to get your Personal Data:
- Directly: we collect Personal Data directly from you through the platform when you:
- Register on the Platform and other shared registrations (for example, social media logins, etc.) to subscribe to our Services and post content on the Platform.
- Make payments, request refunds, and payment methods.
- Participate in contests and promotions, and participate in special schemes.
- Provide reviews, testimonials, or comments.
- When submitting support requests or submitting any complaints on the platform.
- Correspondence logs if you contact us via phone, email, or otherwise.
- Browse and perform other activities on the platform.
- Indirectly: We also receive personal data about you from your friends/relatives when they make purchases for or on your behalf.
- Our suppliers/third-party service providers who enable you to access our Services seamlessly. Our vendors include:
- Logistics and fulfillment providers and/or partners.

- Your interactions with us on other platforms such as Facebook, Google, etc.
- Payment service providers.
- If you share any personal data of third parties—such as, but not limited to, friends, relatives, or colleagues (any individual)—with us while using our Services, you warrant that you have obtained the individual's consent to share their personal data with us in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- We also use a limited number of cookies. Cookies are small data files transferred to your computer (or other device) when you use it to access our Services. Cookies are used for a variety of purposes, including enabling certain features of our Services; remembering your preferences, settings, browsing actions, and patterns; better understanding how you interact with our Services; providing you with advertising within and outside the Services; monitoring visitor usage; and directing online traffic. We use cookies to enrich your experience by remembering your online behavior while using the platform and improving the effectiveness of advertising and services.
- It is up to you to provide certain Personal Data, but this may subsequently affect your ability to use many of our services.
- Data of children and minors
The platform does not collect data from any children or minors, and is not intended for anyone under the age of majority according to the relevant laws in force within the Arab Republic of Egypt governing such individuals. However, we cannot control or prevent specific users, including children, from fraudulently providing their age to gain access to the platform.
- Purpose of collecting your Personal Data
We collect and use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide you with information, products, or services you request from us or that we feel may be of interest to you, where you have consented to be contacted for these purposes.
- To provide you with location-based services, such as advertising, search results, and other personalized content.
- To improve our Services and deliver better and more personalized services to you, including contacting you regarding the services through various channels (e.g., by phone, letter, email, and instant messaging applications).
- To ensure that content through our platform is presented in the most effective manner for you and the device you use to access our platform.
- To provide you with services and offers without interruption on special occasions, such as your birthday and anniversary.
- To notify you of changes to our services.
- For any other reason we deem necessary to enhance your experience on the platform.
- To administer and manage our incentive programs, fulfill your requests for incentives, and/or allow you to participate in sweepstakes prizes, and notify you if you win a sweepstakes prize, if applicable.

- How we use your Personal Data
We will only use your Personal Data in the following events:
- Executing obligations
We use your personal data to fulfill any obligation to you or to take initial steps before entering into any obligation to you. This includes accepting the applicable terms and conditions or specific terms relating to our services. If you do not provide your personal data for these purposes, we may not be able to provide our services or enter into any contract with you, which may result in the cancellation of the service.

We may collect your personal data to comply with any applicable laws and/or regulations within the Arab Republic of Egypt.
- Legitimate interests
We may process your Personal Data based on our legitimate business interests and the interests of our customers when improving our services, detecting and preventing fraud and misuse, protecting the safety of our customers, ourselves, and others, and providing you with interest-based advertising.
- Marketing and Communications Data
We may also use your Personal Data to provide you with information about goods and services that may be of interest to you, and to enhance your platform experience through service messages, new features, improvement, special offers, and events of interest to you. We may contact you through various channels, including but not limited to, emails, push notification, web notifications, postings, telephone, in-app messages, WhatsApp messages, and news feed cards. We also offer you the option to receive these advertisements based on your interests.
- Limitations on sharing Personal Data
Your personal data is important to us to provide you with our services, and we are not in the business of sharing your personal data with others. We only share your information with third parties as described below, and with companies that follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Policy:
- Other companies. We provide you with our services, and we may engage with other companies affiliated with us and/or non-affiliated service providers (such as logistics companies used to deliver products to you, marketing companies, payment processing companies to process online transactions, analyze data, etc.), and share your personal data with these companies. We may use other companies in your transactions, which may store your information in a digital wallet to make your use of our Services more efficient.
- You understand that it is important for these companies to have access to relevant Personal Data to perform their functions and tasks. We will ensure that these companies do not use your Personal Data for other purposes. We may also receive Personal Data from these companies (such as updated delivery and address information), which we may use (for example, to correct our records and deliver your next purchases). These companies will be contractually obligated to respect the confidentiality of your Personal Data and not use it for any other purposes.
- Third parties. We may share your Personal Data with any third-party for the purposes set out in Section 5 above. However, we ensure that all companies follow practices at minimum as protective as those in this Privacy Policy. We also do not allow our third-party service providers to use your Personal Data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your Personal Data for specific purposes in accordance with our instructions.
- You may ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing communications at any time by setting your marketing preferences on the platform, following the unsubscribe links in any marketing message sent to you, or by contacting us at any time.
- Ownership transfers. As our business evolves, we may engage in the purchase or sale of other businesses or services. In these transactions, customer Personal Data will typically be included among the transferred assets but will remain protected by any existing privacy policy (unless the customer agrees otherwise). If our company is acquired, or substantially all of our assets are acquired, customer Personal Data will be included as part of the transferred assets.
- Protection of the platform and others. We release users' Personal Data when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, law enforcement investigations, and to protect our rights, our users' rights, property, or safety. This includes exchanging Personal Data with other companies and organizations for various reasons, such as fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
- Storage and duration of storage of Personal Data
The Personal Data we collect from you may be transferred, stored, and processed by staff working for us or for one of our service providers. Such staff, among other things, may aid in processing your order, your payment details, and provide support services. - Security measures for data protection
We have designed our systems with your security and privacy in mind. We maintain commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to ensure that your Personal Data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws, and to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your Personal Data. For example, we may use encryption technology to secure your Personal Data during transmission to our platform, as well as external firewall and host firewall technology to prevent network-level attacks. Access to this Personal Data is granted only to authorized employees, contractors, and agents who need to know your Personal Data in order to perform their services. We also follow the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard when handling credit card data.
It is important that you protect yourself from unauthorized access to your password and to the devices used to access our services. You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. (For example, ensure you log out when you finish using a shared device.) Although we will do our best to protect your Personal Data, unfortunately the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure.

- The right to access your Personal Data: You can access a wide range of information about your account and interactions with the platform to view and, in most cases, update your Personal Data. Examples of Personal Data that you can easily access on the platform include:
- Updated information regarding recent orders;
- Personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, date of birth, communications, and personalized advertising preferences);
- Payment settings;
- Email notification settings.
- The right to request the destruction of your Personal Data: You have the right to request the destruction and erasure of your Personal Data to the extent permitted by applicable law. To make such a request, please contact Customer Service. However, please be aware that we may not always be able to comply with your request for erasure for specific legal reasons, which you will be notified of in due course.

- You will not be required to pay any fees to exercise your rights, unless otherwise provided by law. If you submit a request to exercise your rights, you will receive a response within the timeframes stipulated by applicable law.
- Amendment to Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time to reflect business developments or legal and regulatory requirements. Any amended version will become effective upon posting on the platform or on the date designated as the "Effective Date".
We may issue periodic email notifications of any amendments to the Privacy Policy. However, it is your responsibility as a user to review the most recent version posted on the platform to be informed of changes. Continued use of the platform or services after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance of the amended version and its provisions.
